Good nutrition plays a very important role in overall physical and mental wellbeing. Therefore along with addressing the psychological issues in life, it is also very important to ensure your family is eating well. Dimitra Arthur works closely with her husband Nicholas Arthur, who is a Registered Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of Australia. Nicholas is a highly qualified and experienced nutritionist who regularly helps families with healthy nutrition.
Why choose a Registered Nutritionist?
A Registered Nutritionist is a highly trained and qualified expert in food science. They can help you with diet, nutrient deficiencies, diabetes, high cholesterol, IBS, health promotion, food allergies, food intolerances, weight management and more.
As a Registered Nutritionist, Nicholas can help you with healthy eating and making the best lifelong lifestyle changes. He takes into account your current lifestyle, current health and any other relevant issues in your life. He then develops a healthy eating plan that will help you achieve your goals.
How it works
Each personal consultation is 1 hour long. The first consultation is a comprehensive assessment, at which time information is obtained from you about your health history, and any symptoms. Prior to your consultation you will complete a 3 day food diary, to build a picture of both the foods you are currently eating, and the way you are eating (meal times, and number of meals per day etc). The second 1 hour consultation will provide a personalised review of your current diet and eating patterns, as well as dietary recommendations for the future.
Nicholas provides the following nutrition services:
- Nutrition and dietary consulting and assessment
- Dietary recommendations and plans
- Age appropriate nutrition plans for children and adolescents
- Weight management advice and programs
- Food intolerance tests
- Behavioural eating assessment and advice
- Sports nutrition assessment and guidance
In addition to the above practical consulting and assessment appointments, Nicholas may also advise you to undertake a nutritional test to determine the root cause of your nutrition-related health issues. If these are necessary, details of these tests (conducted by, and a separate fee payable to an external company) are discussed at your first consultation.
Laboratory tests available include:
- Complete Digestive Stool Analysis (stool)
- 3 Day Parasitology (stool)
- Functional Liver Detoxification Profile (saliva and urine)
- Intestinal Permeability (urine)
- Secretory IgA (saliva)
- IgG Food Sensitivity Profiles (blood)
- Iodine (urine)
- Osteoporosis Risk Assessment (urine)
- Total Antioxidant Status (blood)
- Essential Fatty Acids (blood)
- Amino Acid Profile (blood)
- Hair Mineral Analysis (hair)
