Dimitra assesses children with significant learning and behavioural difficulties that are suspected of a developmental delay, disorder or disability. Children are commonly referred by their teachers, medical health professionals, and parents. Dimitra also works within a multi-disciplinary team of speech pathologists and occupational therapists to provide assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Cognitive and educational assessments are typically administered to children who are suspected of having significant ongoing problems and may be eligible for additional support at school with funding to promote their education. These assessments are usually conducted at the time of consultation and then feedback is provided to parents, medical health professionals and educational professionals. All feedback contains practical recommendations for assisting the child’s development.
